The early start was accompanied by a mist, which left the far end of the circuit covered by a very wet mist. Dispite these conditions practise went well and I ended 7th. ZAC 24th August Assen. Qualifying did not go so well with a poor lap time that left me 17th and back on the 5th row. I am still getting used to the bike and I got caught out under braking the Veenslang. A high speed stoppie is really not the way you want to go off the circuit. This moment slowed me up. Race 1. My usual start left me back in 19th at the end of lap 1. I was being held up and an over abistous move at turn 3 caused me to run wide and off the circuit. Now back in 24th I gave chase and by the end made it back to 19th. Race 2. I managed to make a start!! From 19th to 10th by the end of lap 1 :). At start of lap 2 I lost a place as I am still very slow in the Strubben bend. This left me riding alone and my pace dropped. Lap 4 lost another place at the same bend but this time I was able to follow the rider and held on to 12th at the line. Improved lap times nded the day on a good note.
